Insurance & Billing

Yes — federal law and most state laws require insurance plans to cover telehealth mental health visits at parity with in-person visits. Your standard mental health copay applies.
We offer self-pay rates starting at $100/session. We believe everyone deserves access to mental health care. Contact us to discuss payment options.
You can call the member services number on the back of your insurance card and ask about 'telehealth mental health or behavioral health benefits.' Alternatively, book your appointment and we'll verify your benefits before your visit.
Treatment & Prescriptions
Yes. Appropriately licensed prescribing clinicians can prescribe psychiatric medications, including antidepressants, anti-anxiety medications, mood stabilizers, and antipsychotics. Controlled substances (such as stimulants for ADHD) can also be prescribed via telehealth under current federal and state guidelines.
Not necessarily. Medication is one tool in psychiatric care, not the only one. Your clinician will conduct a thorough evaluation and recommend the most appropriate treatment plan, which may include medication, therapy referrals, lifestyle changes, or a combination. Many patients receive prescriptions at their first visit; some may need a follow-up.
Electronically, to any pharmacy you choose — including mail-order pharmacies. You can update your preferred pharmacy at any time.
It depends on the medication. SSRIs and SNRIs (common antidepressants) typically take 4-8 weeks for full effect. Stimulants for ADHD work within hours. Mood stabilizers vary. Your prescribing clinician will set realistic expectations at your appointment.
Our psychiatric clinicians focus on psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and medication management. They may incorporate supportive therapy techniques but do not provide structured weekly psychotherapy. For therapy, we provide referrals to licensed therapists. Medication + therapy together is often the most effective treatment.
Privacy & Safety
Yes. We use a HIPAA-compliant video platform for all appointments. Your health information is protected under HIPAA and applicable state privacy laws. We do not share your information without your consent, except as required by law.
If you are experiencing a psychiatric emergency, call 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline), call 911, or go to your nearest emergency room immediately. Do not wait for a telehealth appointment. The 988 Lifeline is available 24/7.
Provider credentials vary by clinician. Each profile lists the clinician's supplied credentials, title, and licensed states; the roster includes PMHNPs and other licensed professionals. Review the individual profile before booking, and verify licensure through the relevant state board.
